About us: Harry's Sphynx Home
Our Commitment
I’m Harry, My Wife and I together we run Harry Sphynx Home — a small, passionate, home-based Sphynx cattery. We’re not a commercial breeding facility. We’re a family. Our home is the cattery, and our cats are part of that family in every sense of the word. They eat dinner with us, snuggle on the couch with us, and yes — they have been known to steal the covers at bedtime.
Why the Sphynx? Let Us Count the Ways.
Most people discover the Sphynx breed by accident — a friend has one, they see a photo online, or they stumble across a video and can’t stop watching. And then there’s no going back. The Sphynx cat is one of the most unique and captivating creatures on the planet, and once you’ve been claimed by one, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without them.
Here are a few things that make the Sphynx truly one of a kind:
They run warm — literally. Because Sphynx cats lack the insulating layer of a traditional fur coat, their bodies compensate by running about 4 degrees warmer than the average cat. This makes them natural heat-seekers and incredibly cuddly companions, especially during the colder months. Think of them as your personal, purring hot water bottle.
They’re extraordinarily social and people-oriented. The Sphynx is widely regarded as one of the most dog-like cats in existence. They greet you at the door, follow you from room to room, demand your attention with loud, enthusiastic chirps and trills, and they absolutely will insert themselves into whatever you’re doing. Working from home? Your Sphynx will be on the keyboard. Watching TV? They’ll be on your lap before the opening credits roll.
They’re highly intelligent and curious. Sphynx cats are problem-solvers. They learn routines quickly, figure out how to open doors (yes, really), and they thrive on stimulation and play. Interactive toys, puzzle feeders, and cat trees are essential in a Sphynx household — these cats need to stay busy.
They’re hypoallergenic — sort of. While no cat is 100% hypoallergenic, many people who are allergic to traditional cats find they can tolerate a Sphynx much better. The primary allergen in cats is a protein called Fel d 1, found in cat saliva and skin secretions. Because Sphynx cats don’t have fur to spread this protein as widely, allergic reactions tend to be milder. We always recommend spending time with a Sphynx before committing if you have known cat allergies.
They’re surprisingly low-maintenance — with a few unique care requirements. You won’t be vacuuming up fur from your furniture, and you won’t need to brush them like a longhaired breed. However, Sphynx cats do require regular ear cleaning (those big ears collect a noticeable amount of dark wax), nail care, and occasional baths to remove the natural oils that build up on their skin. Once you establish a routine, it becomes second nature — and most Sphynx cats actually enjoy bath time when introduced to it early.
Available Sphynx Kittens
Our Kittens Are Raised the Right Way
Every kitten born at Harry Sphynx Home enters the world in a clean, warm, safe, and nurturing environment — our actual home. They are handled from day one, introduced to a variety of sounds, people, children, and other animals, and are given every opportunity to grow into confident, well-adjusted, loving companions.
We raise our kittens under the same roof where we live, cook, laugh, and love. That means they’re not locked away in a back room or a barn — they’re socialized in a real household setting, just like the one they’ll be moving into when they come home to you.
Our available kittens are vaccinated, health-checked, dewormed, and come with a health guarantee. We take pride in the caliber of our breeding program and the quality of the families we place our kittens with.

Our Health Guarantee
At Harry Sphynx Home, the health of every kitten we bring into this world is our most sacred responsibility. It is the thing we think about the most, work hardest to protect, and take most seriously as breeders. We have spent over 15 years building a breeding program that prioritizes health above all else — above coat color, above price, above convenience — and our Health Guarantee is the formal expression of that commitment.
We want you to read this page carefully and completely. We believe in total transparency, and we want every family who comes to us to know exactly what they’re getting, what we stand behind, and what we expect in return. A health guarantee is a two-way relationship, and we take our end of it very seriously.
Pre-Placement Health Standards
Every kitten that leaves Harry Sphynx Home has met the following standards before going home with their new family:
Veterinary Examination: All kittens receive a thorough hands-on examination by our licensed veterinarian prior to placement. This includes evaluation of heart, lungs, eyes, ears, skin, musculature, and overall physical condition. A copy of the vet examination report is provided to every new family.
Vaccinations: Kittens receive age-appropriate FVRCP vaccinations (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia) before going home. Vaccination records are provided and should be shared with your own veterinarian upon your kitten’s arrival.
Deworming: All kittens are dewormed on a regular schedule beginning at an appropriate age. This is standard practice in responsible catteries and is an important step in ensuring your kitten arrives healthy and parasite-free.
Flea-Free: We maintain a strict flea-prevention protocol in our home. Your kitten will arrive flea-free. We recommend continuing appropriate flea prevention in your home, particularly if you have other pets.
Genetic Testing of Parents: Both parents of every litter are health-tested for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a genetic heart condition that can affect the Sphynx breed. We test our breeding cats regularly with board-certified veterinary cardiologists, and we do not breed cats that test positive for HCM mutations. Test results for parent cats are available upon request.
What Our Families Say
Read genuine experiences from families across the United States who have welcomed a Harry Sphynx Home kitten into their lives.
Tara Collins
Austin, TX
"We brought home Biscuit from Harry Sphynx Home five months ago, and life in our house has not been the same since — in the absolute best way. Harry walked us through every aspect of Sphynx care with patience and genuine warmth. Biscuit is thriving, incredibly social, and attached to our family in a way that still amazes us every day."
Jake Freeman
Denver, CO
"I did months of research before settling on Harry Sphynx Home, and I can say without hesitation it was the right call. Nugget arrived at twelve weeks, perfectly healthy, wonderfully socialized, and already full of personality. Harry followed up after pickup to make sure the transition was smooth. That kind of care is rare and really means something."
Priya Ramesh
Atlanta, GA
"I had been nervous about finding a trustworthy Sphynx breeder for a long time. From my very first message to Harry, I could tell this was different. Zara came home with thorough health records, was already litter trained, and settled in with zero issues. Our vet commented on what excellent condition she was in. We are so grateful."
Brandon Nash
Charlotte, NC
"This is actually our second Sphynx from Harry, and returning was an easy decision. The consistency in temperament, health, and socialization between our first kitten three years ago and our new one, Tank, is remarkable. Harry's dedication to the breed is something you simply don't find everywhere. We would not go anywhere else."
Samantha Ellison
Portland, OR
"I flew in specifically to pick up Mango in person, and I would make that trip a hundred times over. Harry's home was spotless and warm — the cats roam freely, play openly, and are clearly treated as family members. That home environment shows in how confident and trusting Mango was from her very first day with us."
Raymond Duffy
Columbus, OH
"After a frustrating experience with a different breeder years ago, I was cautious going in. Harry's honesty from the very first phone call put me completely at ease. Bruno is exactly as described — healthy, beautifully structured, and the most affectionate cat I have ever owned. The contract was fair and transparent. I finally found a breeder I fully trust."
Ashley O'Brien
Nashville, TN
"We lost our older cat earlier this year and were not really planning on getting another so soon. Then we met Figgy and she climbed right into my daughter's lap and didn't move. Harry was so kind throughout the whole visit — never rushing us, giving us space, and clearly caring about matching the right kitten to the right family. It meant the world."
Marcus Webb
Chicago, IL
"I work from home full time, and Gouda has become my permanent desk companion. Harry warned me that Sphynx cats are velcro cats, and he was not exaggerating in the slightest. Gouda is healthy, hilarious, and endlessly entertaining. The guidance Harry provided on enrichment and routine has been invaluable for keeping this smart little guy happy."
Carla Lombardi
Tampa, FL
"We drove four hours each way to pick up Waffles, and I would do it without question again. What struck me most walking into Harry's home was how immaculate and organized everything was. These cats are not just well cared for — they are genuinely loved. Waffles slept curled up with my youngest daughter on her very first night home. Absolutely perfect."
Tyler Park
Seattle, WA
"As a first-time cat owner, I had a lot of questions. Harry answered every single one thoroughly and patiently — never once making me feel like I was asking too much. Peanut has been with us for eight months now without a single health concern. The vaccination records were organized, the feeding guide was practical, and the support did not stop at pickup day."
Gloria Sandoval
San Antonio, TX
"I spent a long time looking for the right breeder before I found Harry Sphynx Home, and I am so glad I was patient. Clementine is gorgeous and has the most wonderful, stable temperament. Harry's wife was equally lovely — you could feel immediately that this is a family operation built on real love for the breed. It felt less like visiting a breeder and more like visiting good people."
Wesley Brooks
Omaha, NE
"If you are on the fence about getting a Sphynx, let me be the one to push you over it — just make sure it's from Harry. Crumpet is the single best addition to our household in years. Harry's home is clean, his cats are visibly happy, his process is completely honest, and his passion for this breed is real. We are already planning to get Crumpet a sibling. There is nowhere else we would go."
